Chasewater Innovation Centre, located on the banks of Chasewater, is the host venue for a series of photos and paintings which pays tribute to the wildlife and ecology of the area.

The exhibition features work by Simon and Sophie Tew, who both work with watercolours, Ann Hackett, whose work with flowers has won national acclaim and Pam Renhard, who works with photos and paintings from photos.

The venue at Chasewater is an environmentally friendly visitor and conferencing centre which is both innovative in its design and construction, promoting the use of timber as a sustainable building material and a source of renewable energy.

Gill Heath, Cabinet Member for Communities at Staffordshire County Council spoke about hosting the exhibition and how the venue lends itself to art and nature.

She said: "We’re delighted to be able to host this fascinating exhibition. Chasewater hosts 12 exhibitions a year, all by local amateur artists, and the light filled space is so perfect to display art that it is booked up two years in advance.

"The exhibitions are very popular with our visitors, and people travel miles to see art in all its forms. We have painters, photographers, and also sewers and ceramics.

"I am constantly surprised at the wealth of talent in our local community. Chasewater is a unique venue, and this exhibition of interpretation of the world of nature couldn’t be more at home here."

The exhibition is free to enter and runs until Friday, November 8, at Chasewater Innovation Centre, Chasewater Country Park, Pool Rd, Burntwood.
