The event on Sunday followed on from the successful summer fair in July – after a hiatus of antiques fairs at the venue for nearly three decades.

People visiting Himley Hall had the opportunity to view and purchase antiques and collectables from more than 50 stallholders.

Organiser Paul Rowson, of Antiques at Events, said: "We've had a wonderful day with about 1,000 people coming along.

"It's a fabulous event in the perfect setting for antiques.

"I've got an agreement with Himley that we're going to put another fair on on November 24 and then every other month.

"We're going to try and grow the fair because we've had quite a bit of support.

"It's been a very well-received event, we've had lots of nice comments.

"Traders have come for as far as Sheffield for the fair."

An antiques fair will also take place at the historic hall on Sunday, November 24.
