Manchester's Family Gorgeous - including drag performers Cheddar Gorgeous, Anna Phylactic, Liquorice Black, Lill, Asttina Mandella and TeTe Bang - visited Dudley as part of the fifth episode of the hit new Channel Four series.

An overview for the episode, that aired last night, says: "Can Dominique rediscover her self-confidence by becoming an intergalactic space queen? The Family Gorgeous also meet Jacob, who recently came out to his family, and 61-year-old trans woman Alison."

Speaking ahead of the show to Digital Spy, Anna said: "There were lots of people just with so many amazing stories.

"I think the one that affected me most was a woman called Alison who we met in Dudley. It was just a really sad story because she had transitioned and then we were wondering whether her family would actually come and see the show.

"We're all still in contact with them now."

The programme sees the team of UK queens transforming the lives of people from different city's by giving them a drag makeover to 'unlock their long-lost confidence and become bolder, braver drag-enhanced versions of themselves'.

The first episode saw the gang visit Dover, and they have since dragged up Ipswich, Scarborough and Caerphilly.

The next episode of the series, filmed in Preston, will air at 11pm, Tuesday, July 30 on Channel 4.
