The bikes rode out from Himley Hall at 10am, before taking on a 19.7-mile ride circling the Dudley borough. Young Wolverhampton fundraiser Louis Johnson, 12, waved the bikers off with the Black Country flag.

Speedway commentator Ian 'Porky' Jones led the ride-out on his Harley Davidson.

It is the second time the event has been held, officially launching last year which was organised by the then Dudley Mayor Councillor Dave Tyler as well as campaigner Damian Corfield. Funds from the day are still coming in, but is thought to be in the region of £1,000.

Dudley Mind chief executive, Sandra Vaughan, said: "The ride-out went really well. We had about 150 riders and most were wearing their Dudley Mind yellow t-shirts.

"It was really inspiring to be honest to see so many people advertising our charity on the ride-out and there was people travelling a distance to take part in the ride-out.

"The ride was about 45 to 50 minutes and they went all around the borough which was about 19 to 20 miles.

"It was great to have Louis Johnson flagging everyone off with the Black Country flag. He seemed to really enjoy it.

"This is the second event like this we have held – the first one last year was part of the Dudley Mayor's charities. We think we have raised around £1,000 this year but there still might be more money to come in
