Taking place on Saturday and Sunday, organisers were delighted with the turnout at the national event, which is the first of its kind dedicated to the British public and their pets.

Organiser of The Pet Show, Lucy Buxton, was delighted with the turnout.

She said: "Across both days the event has gone really really well and we are delighted with the turnout.

"We were a lot busier on Sunday than the Saturday, but the weather was quite nice and I think that helped to draw people out.

"The Pet Show is the UK's largest multi-pet and we have everything from dogs, cats, reptiles and alpacas.

"It's a big family event and we encourage people to bring their own dogs and enter them into our dog shows, which aren't too serious but just a bit of fun.

"We get a lot of people coming along from within an hours drive of Stafford but sometimes some do come further. Overall we're delighted with how the show has gone."

The event itself is now in its sixth year but it is only the second time it has been held at the venue off Weston Road after previously taking place at Stoneleigh Park in Warwickshire.
