RAF Cosford Air Show to stay as a one-day event

RAF Cosford Air Show will remain a one-day event this year, organisers have said.

Talks were held last year to decide whether the annual show, which attracts thousands of visitors every year, would become a two-day event.

But organisers at RAF Cosford have said holding the event over two days had been an “aspiration”.

This year’s show will be on June 10 and will be themed around RAF 100, as 2018 marks the Royal Air Force’s centenary.

Squadron Leader Chris Wilson said: “There will be an extensive flying and static display from aircraft that have played a major part in the service’s history alongside three vintage villages and all of the other great displays one expects from the show.”
