Black Country twins starring A Christmas Carol at The Alexandra, Birmingham

Twins from the Black Country will be starring in a family show at a West Midlands venue.

Conor and Caitlin Dodd, 10, who attend Shire Oak School in Walsall, have been cast as Tiny Tim and Grace Smythe in the classic A Christmas Carol The Musical.

The play us taking place at The Alexandra theatre in Birmingham, which runs from November 26 to 30.

Another set of twins, Alice and Isabel Barlow, 16, who live in Kidderminster and attend Birmingham Ormiston Academy, are taking up parts in the chorus.

The production is based on Charles Dicken’s classic story A Christmas Carol.

The show tells the story of Ebeneezer Scrooge who believes personal wealth is far more valuable than the happiness and comfort of others.

Broadway performers Alan Menken, of Disney's Beauty And The Beast, Disney's The Little Mermaid and Little Shop Of Horrors, and Lynn Ahrens, of Ragtime, Seussical, Once On This Island, will also be taking part.
