Sea of colourful iron flowers at Staffordshire's Shugborough Hall
Handmade forget-me-nots have formed a sea of colour at Shugborough Hall for those wishing to remember lost loved ones.
And almost £27,000 has been raised for Katharine House Hospice by the exhibition, which will be at the Staffordshire National Trust site until June 29.
The wrought iron flowers, coloured yellow and blue, were available to purchase so people could dedicate them to someone they wish to pay tribute to.
A sea of around 1,000 blue forget-me-nots were created at Shugborough Hall.
Andrea Pugh, spokesman for the hospice, said: “The flowers are beautiful. They are all hand-made and when grouped together look really spectacular. We are delighted our supporters have helped us raise this money.
"Supporters of the hospice have made donations in memory of a loved one and every flower represents them.
"At the end of the display they will be able to keep the flowers.
"We've got 1,000 of them at Shugborough, and it has raise just short of £27,000, which is absolutely fantastic.
"There were just a handful left, the response has been absolutely phenomenal.
"It's a fantastic amount to have raised, we provide all of our services free of charge.
"It's all about helping patients and their families.
"Hopefully we will look to do something similar in the future as it's been so successful.
"The area is under trees, it's a little wooded area you can walk through.
"It looks really really pretty, they're grouped together.
"People can go and visit them and we've got big boards up with the names of people they are in memory of."
