Christmas favourites Elf and Home Alone will be showing

Town Hall Films are teaming up with the organisers of the Bridgnorth Music & Arts Festival to show Home Alone at 6.15pm and Elf at 8.30pm beneath the town hall.

The showings are part of an initiative to encourage shopping in the town, which will mean shops opening until 8pm tomorrow night.

A statement from the organisers said: "As well as films there'll be a cinema poster sale.

The films will be shown beneath Bridgnorth Town Hall

"Join us at the outdoor cinema and you could win an Aquaman, Fantastic Beasts, Mary Poppins or one of many other full-size cinema posters.

"There will be a lucky dip for posters of this year's best films, and some of the not so good films.

"Remember to bring a chair to sit on and wrap up warm.

"Town Hall Films and Bridgnorth Music & Arts Festival are a non-profit organisation which means the lucky dip, refreshments and the collection buckets are to help offset the costs of the film licenses and raise money for the festival's nominated charity."

The organisers also advised visitors to arrive early as the showings are expected to be busy.
