Birmingham Glee Club's egg-cellent family treat

After a packed afternoon back in February, Birmingham Glee Club’s Family Show returns on April 1 – both Easter Day and April Fool’s Day.

The family-friendly afternoon performance, at the venue in The Arcadian Centre, Hurst Street, Birmingham, is suitable for ages seven-plus and features three top acts in Jayde Adams, Mat Richardo and Olaf Falafel.

Multi-award-winning Jayde Adams is a multi-faceted comedian. She’s trained in competitive dancing, sings opera, beatboxes, clowns, raps, balloon models, draws and plays the piano.

Since helping spearhead the resurgence of new circus and variety in the late 80s, Mat Ricardo has gone on to headline theatres across Europe, appear at countless international variety and comedy festivals, and on some of the finest cabaret and burlesque stages in the world.

And completing the bill is acclaimed surrealist comedian and illustrator, Olaf Falafel, whose absurdist online videos include a croissant-coiffured talking Donald Trump puppet, and the Bee Gees hiding in his beard.

And because it’s lunchtime, there’s also a special child-friendly food menu on offer, including a selection of sweet treat mocktails.

Doors open at 1pm, with the last entry at 1.30pm. The show lasts approximately 90 minutes with an interval. Tickets for the show only cost £10 for adults and £7 for under-18s. For food and the show, the price is £16.50 for adults and £12 concessions.
