Couples keen to seek inspiration for their big day arrived even before the doors opened. There were almost 30 exhibitors at the annual event on Sunday who set up stands in the hotel’s magnificent Great Hall and Manders suite. From florists to photographers and bridal specialists to cake makers, the fair covered everything couples need to plan the perfect wedding.

Wolverhampton Magazine editor Heather Loat said: “Our fair was another great success. We had brides and grooms-to-be coming through the door all day. Many said how much they had enjoyed browsing the stands and had come away with lots of ideas.

“We had quality exhibitors and it was lovely to have feedback from them saying they were delighted with the event.”

Among exhibitors were Codsall Photographic, ATD Photography and Philip Dignum Photography. Bridal specialists Patricia Couture, based in Tettenhall, and Albrighton’s Something Old Something New wowed with their display of gorgeous gowns. There were beautiful arrangements by florists Floral Exuberance and Floral Secrets and delicious samples from The Cake Room in Bridgnorth.

Pianist James Curtis entertained visitors and There was much hilarity when couples tried on fancy dress accessories at The Pic Pod Company photo booth.

A prize draw was held with bride-to-be Lindsey Bradney the lucky winner of winning an afternoon tea for two at The Mount Hotel, while Bev Dewick, from Wolverhampton, was thrilled to scooped two tickets to see Top Hat at the Grand Theatre.
