Teechers

Teechers, by John Godber, is a comedy about life at a struggling 'sink school' for Mr Nixon, an unsuspecting new drama teacher.

This play will be presented by Blackeyed Theatre in association with South Hill Park.

Poppyfields - Auditorium, Theatre Severn, Shrewsbury

Poppyfields

This dramatic love story centres around four main characters against the backdrop of a world at war.

It is set on the home front during the first six months of 1916, as young and inexperienced soldiers head into the horror that is The Battle of the Somme.

The Style Councillors - Robin 2, Bilston

The Style Councillors

The Style Councillors are a full 11-piece lineup who replicate the finest from pop sensations The Style Council.

The band were formed by Paul Weller and Mick Talbot in 1983 after the demise of The Jam. The line up expanded to include master drummer Steve White and ex-Wham vocalist Dee C. Lee.

Their only number one album, Our Favourite Shop, will be played in full at the show.

Bobby Mair - Slade Rooms, Wolverhampton

Bobby Mair

Canadian comedian Bobby Mair is making his way to Wolverhampton this weekend.

The stand-up star is best known for his appearances in The Hour, Russell Howard's Good News, Sweat the Small Stuff, Virtually Famous, Never Mind The Buzzcocks, Sam Delaney's News Thing, 8 Out of 10 Cats and more.

Recently, Bobby has supported the likes of Bill Burr and Doug Stanhope on tour, is currently shooting his first comedy series for VICELAND with his wife Harriet Kemsley.

Sasha Velour - Nightingales, Birmingham

Sasha Velour

Fans in Birmingham will be So Emotional when Sasha Velour brings her first UK headline tour to Nightingales.

The Brooklyn-based drag queen, played by Alexander Hedges Steinberg, won season nine of RuPaul's Drag Race alongside the likes of Alexis Michelle, Trinity Taylor, Peppermint, Aja, Valentina and Shea Coulee.

Steinberg founded Velour, The Drag Magazine and produces monthly drag show Nightgowns.

Sasha will be supported by drag sensation Hungry and Birmingham queen Boo Sutcliffe. Birmingham DJ Elliott Barnicle will also be providing entertainment at the event.

Boxstock 2018: Cigar Box Guitar Festival - Slade Rooms, Wolverhampton

Celebrate all things cigar box guitar this weekend at Wolverhampton's Slade Rooms.

The cigar box guitar is a primitive chordophone that uses an empty cigar box as a resonator. The earliest had one or two strings, and the instrument is currently experiencing a modern revival due to interest in jug bands and DIY culture.

Legendary Ace, Squeeze, and Mike & The Mechanics frontman Paul Carrack is set to wow crowds in Birmingham this weekend.

Country singer Nathan Carter is set to dazzle crowds at Birmingham's New Alexandra Theatre.

Irish media nominates him as one of the biggest stars of the genre of music known as Country and Irish, a special genre of country with Celtic influences.
