Iron Maiden to play Birmingham show

Legendary rockers Iron Maiden are returning to Birmingham next year.

The concept for the Legacy Of The Beast World Tour was inspired by Maiden’s mobile game and comic book of the same name and the stage set design will feature a number of different but interlocking world” with a set list covering a large selection of Eighties material with a handful of surprises from later albums to add diversity.

Formed in 1975, the band have released a whopping 38 albums - including 16 studio albums, 11 live albums, four E.Ps and seven compilations.

After several line-up changes, the band went on to release a series of UK and US platinum and gold albums, including 1982's The Number of the Beast, 1983's Piece of Mind, 1984's Powerslave, 1985's live release Live After Death, 1986's Somewhere in Time and 1988's Seventh Son of a Seventh Son.

Their sixteenth studio album, The Book of Souls, was released in 2015.

The band have played over 2000 live shows throughout their career, and in 2002 they won the Ivor Novello Award for International Achievement.

Killswitch Engage will be joining the band as support for their tour.

Iron Maiden will play Birmingham's Genting Arena on August 7, 2018.

Tickets will go on sale from 9.00am on November 24, 2017.
