On top of this, the All Around The World, All Woman and The Real Thing singer has announced a new record, titled Deeper, will also be out at around the same time.

In a video posted for fans on video sharing website YouTube, she said: “As you can see we’ve been busy in the studio and we are now putting all the final finishing touches to the album. It sounds great. I just hope you think the same, I hope you like it as much as we do.

"It’s coming out in the spring and we’ve decided to call it Deeper. So keep an eye out. I’m just excited. I think it is going to be a great ride. I’m looking forward to it.”

The video also includes teasers of three new songs from what will be her eighth studio album. They will be able to be heard when she appears at Birmingham's Symphony Hall on April 17 next year. It is one of 12 UK dates on the tour.

Most recently, the Grammy-nominated and multi-BRIT, Ivor Novello and Silver Clef Award winner returned to the Top 20 of the UK album charts with her seventh studio album - Seven - in 2014.

Tickets for her Symphony Hall date, priced between £30.50 and £102 for VIP packages, are already on sale and can be purchased from https://www.thsh.co.uk/event/lisa-stansfield
