This will be their first UK dates since their major arena tour in 2015.

Formed y Liam Howlett in 1990, The Prodigy are credited as pioneers of the big beat genre alongside the likes of The Chemical Brothers and Fatboy Slim.

They have sold over 30 million records worldwide, and won numerous music awards during their career, including two Brit Awards for Best British Dance Act, three MTV Video Music Awards, two Kerrang! Awards, five MTV Europe Music Awards, and two Grammy Awards nominations.

The Prodigy have released six full-length studio albums - and are best known for their hits Omen, Out of Space, Breathe and Firestarter.

Following the announcement of their new label deal with BMG worldwide, new music is to be released this year with an album stated for early 2018.

The Prodigy will play Wolverhampton's Civic Hall on December 19.
