Thousands of metal fans made the pilgrimage to Catton Park last weekend to attend Bloodstock Festival 2017.

This year's event featured bands such as Amon Amarth, Ghost, Megadeth, Blind Guardian, Kreator, Arch Enemy and more across three days.

Acts for next year have already been announced, featuring the likes of Nightwish and Gojira.

The announcement comes after Bloodstock had its most successful year to date this summer - and the first time the event has ever completely sold out of weekend tickets.
