New V Festival stage to host hottest urban talent

A host of up-and-coming urban stars are to star on a new V Street Stage at this summer’s V Festival.

The August event’s line-up already boasts top a jam-packed line-up of the world’s hottest rap, grime and R&B talent, including Jay Z and Stormzy.

There will also be sets from Craig David, Rudimental, Dizzee Rascal, Sean Paul, Sigma, Krept and Konan, Hannah Wants and Disciples at the Weston Park venue.

The latest additions will feature on the new V Street Stage, Powered by Utilita Energy.

The stage, on August 19 and 20, will be headlined by South London rapper Yungen, best-known for his catchy punchlines and lyrical ability.

British girl-band M.O will be bringing their 90s-inspired smooth hip-hop and R&B tunes to the V Festival crowd.

She is already making waves with her With hit singles Not In Love and Who Do You Think Of. Her a debut album is also on the way, they are not to be missed.

As one of the most recognisable faces in the current wave of female MCs who spit bars just as well as their male counterparts, Nadia Rose is treading new ground as a female MC.

Equipped with sharp lyrics and infectious tracks, her singles Skwod the singer from Croydon, who is Stormzy’s cousin, is predicted to be a standout performer during the weekend.

BBC Sound of 2016 nominee Mabel and her soulful R&B sounds will be on stage when she performs her debut track, Know Me Better.

Also joining the V Street Stage Powered by Utilita Energy line up is Northampton Grime MC Izzie Gibbs, Warning Crew’s Lisa Mercedez and Yung Fume.
