The Hooded Ram, formerly Indi Bar, based on the corner of Lichfield Street and Princess Street, launched two weeks ago. The bar offers a total of seven different speciality beers – all brewed on the Isle of Man.

Hooded Ram takes its name from the brewery that makes it, whilst the Gali Kitchen restaurant aims to complement the beer with traditional Punjabi street food.

Boss, father-of-two, Rob Storey, aged 37, said: "The aim is to give people a really good curry and a pint. Everybody loves that combination, so we've just elevated it."

Indeed, the beers have previously won awards for their taste and texture.

At the official launch, the Ram welcomed officials from the Campaign for Real Ale who were assessing the beer in order to officially rate it.
