Lower Drayton Farm in Penkridge has been hosting live lambing events.

Animal lovers descended on the attraction and got the chance to meet and help feed the new arrivals.

The event was part of the farm's February half-term activities.

Val James, manager at Lower Drayton Farm, said about 1,600 people went through the farm's gates over the week.

"It was very busy, she said.

"People absolutely loved it and the children loved interacting with the animals.

"We had some pregnant sheep and some sheep that had just given birth to newborn lambs for people to meet. We haven't got a vast amount of sheep but I think there were about eight lambs born during the week."

Lower Drayton Farm will next open to the public for a special Easter event between April 8 and 23.

Visitors will have the opportunity to take part in a host of Easter themed craft activities and meet the newborn lambs.
