Megan Palmer, aged 24, a trainee hairdresser at Francesco's in Church Lane, has taken part in the new ITV production, called 'Meet the Parents'. The show, presented by Holly Willoughby saw Megan's father Chris Palmer, aged 46, of Hixon, help set her up with primary school teacher from London, Jack Judd, aged 26. The three girls in the episode wait in a back room as their parents meet the male. After meeting the parents the male chooses those he likes best before meeting their daughter. In an added twist, though the audience can see the girls, the parents and the male, the girls themselves are unable to see the man.

Megan said: "It was really scary at first. But when I saw Jack, I was really happy."

The show aired on Saturday and now Jack and Megan have begun dating, with Megan travelling down to London to meet him.
