Where are the Pokemon Go Poke Centres and Gyms in the Midlands?

It's the game that everyone is talking about and is encouraging people to get outdoors and socialise whilst gaming - yes, it's Pokemon Go.

The Midlands is alive and buzzing with Poke Centres, Gyms and rare Pokemon for you to add to your collection.

In no particular order, here are our top picks of Poke-hotspots to help you catch 'em all!

Please note that you don't have to enter these buildings and disturb the staff to receive their spoils, you can also receive their goodies from right outside and nearby areas too.

It's been confirmed by Pokemon Go that Morrisons supermarkets are the only supermarkets that contain Pokemon within the game, and we have one right here in Wolverhampton.

Gamers have spotted an array of Pokemon within the store, including one Weedle comically rustling around their food aisles that has been repeatedly shared across Twitter.

The Burger Priest - Wolverhampton

Calling all Pokemon Trainers! The Burger Priest is infested with ghost Pokemon.

Not only is The Burger Priest a Poke Center as it is considered a landmark, built upon the site of the Star & Garter Coaching Inn - it's also apparently haunted.

The eatery is infested with Gastly and even the odd Haunter, with reported sightings of high level Seaking, Seel, Gengar and Raticate.

You can enjoy this with their free WiFi and charging points around the store.

City Road Methodist Church - Birmingham

Birmingham International railway station, Birmingham Airport and Grand Central shopping centre are gyms, but one site that has received overwhelming attention is City Road Methodist Church.

The gym not only offers players the chance to battle it out, but it is also home to fan-favourite Pikachu and fellow electric type Pokemon Voltorb for players to catch.

Church Gardens and more - Sedgley

Sedley has become a hive of Pokemon Go activity with a range of Poke Centres, gyms and Pokemon hotspots all in close proximity, ideal for players to level up.

The White Horse, The Grand Junction, The Courthouse, the local Scout hut and Sedgley Library are all Poke Centers which offer the oppurtunity for players to collect Poke balls and other useful items quickly.

Sedgley church gardens also has a registered Poke gym and is home to a range of grass type Pokemon for players to catch.

Pigeon Park - Birmingham

Usually home to lunchtime relaxers and fun-loving skaters, Birmingham's Pigeon Park has now become a haven for Pokemon trainers also.

The area comically holds a variety of Pokemon's own pigeon, Pidgey, as well as the rare Dragonite which spawns randomly in the location at different times.

Merry Hill Shopping Centre - Brierley Hill

Merry Hill Shopping Centre is not only great for shopping, it's wide area has now become ideal for all of your Pokemon needs.

Players have gathered to net the Zubat, Gastly and rare Haunter that have been flying around shoppers' heads as well as the different terrains and types that each shop apparently offers - it has everything a trainer could possibly want.

West Park - Wolverhampton

Wolverhampton's West Park is well known for its family-friendly environment and great outdoor scenery - which has now become infested with Pokemon.

The park is home to a variety of grass and air type Pokemon, from Caterpie to Pidgetto, Venomoth to Spearow and everything else at varying starting levels - occasionally with a rogue Rhyhorn on the loose.

You can also head over to the park's pool for their water Pokemon such as Seel, Dratini and Horsea which swim right into your arms.

Black Country Living Museum - Dudley

It seems that Pokemon have taken a step back in time, invading Dudley's very own Black Country Living Museum.

The BCLM is also registered as a Pokemon gym surrounded by Pokemon centres and wild creatures alike. The costumed characters haven't quite been able to nab any Pokemon yet, but maybe other trainers can.

Dudley Zoo

Dudley Zoological Gardens has shown that not only is it the perfect place to spot rare wildlife, it's also the perfect place for Pokemon too.

The zoo has been registered as a gym where trainers can battle it out, with various Pokemon being spotted on paths and even in enclosures joining the animals such as the well-known Bulbasaur, Squirtle and its rare final evolution Blastoise.

Pokemon are excelling to the stage as they take over Wolverhampton's Grand Theatre.

The Centre not only allows you to collect useful items, it's also filled to the brim with Pokemon with Horsea spotted in the bar area, Pidgey in the seats and Zubat circling the staff's very own heads.

Yes that's right, right here at the Express & Star we too are also a Poke Centre for you to get your hands on all the Pokeballs you can handle, with a few Pokemon running round inside too.

Our offices have been full of Spearow, Nidoran, Zubat and more that have also spilled onto the surrounding streets and other close Poke Centres and gyms.
