Madagascar Live! swings onto the LG Arena stage in January
Alex the Lion, Marty the Zebra, Melman the Giraffe and a whole host of Madagascar characters will be taking the LG Arena stage in January with Madagascar Live!
The theatrical show, based on the popular film by Dreamworks, will re-tell the escapades of the characters through musical numbers - including the popular "Move It, Move It" - dance and story telling by Madagascar characters as they're transported from New York's Central Park Zoo to King Julien's Madagascar.
The show promises to bring an "element of the west end" to the popular film series in a show for the whole family from January 18 to 20.
Bill Damaschke, Chief Creative Officer for DreamWorks Animation promises an action packed show which includes new additions to the songs already in the film.
He said: "The show brings together all the energy, wit and fun of the films to make an inventive entertaining live experience. Along with the classic tracks we have added a selection of new songs, with sets, costumes, dance and movement that bring the whole experience to life in spectacular fashion."
"I could not be more delighted that the characters of Madagascar will be taking the stage in the UK during 2013," he added.
