Raymond FroggattMidlands favourite Raymond Froggatt is set to delight his legion of fans with a concert at Wolverhampton's Wulfun Hall next year.

Already in the midst of a tour which takes him to Birmingham Town Hall this Saturday, November 22, and The Mill at Sedgley on Sunday, December 21, Froggie - as his fans call him - will play at the Wulfrun on Sunday, April 12.

Froggie followers often arrive at the shows clutching their frogs and waving green scarves and he plays many sell-out gigs across the country every year.

Birmingham-born Froggie always says Wolverhampton is one of his favourite places to play after getting his break there back in the 60s.

Since that time he has gone on to write and record hundreds of songs, some of them sung and recorded by the likes of the Dave Clark Five, Cliff Richard, Daniel O'Donnell, George Hamilton IV, Leon Russell, Gladys Knight, Val Doonican and Rolf Harris.

He has toured with, among others, Rod Stewart, ELO, Tammy Wynette, Glenn Campbell, and Billie Jo Spears.

Froggie was voted top male singer by the British Country Music Association for six years in a row and once even beat Willie Nelson into second place as top international singer.

* Raymond Froggatt's Blue & Gold tour arrives at Wolverhampton's Wulfrun Hall on Sunday, April 12, 2009. Tickets are £13.
