My Alamo

Moseley-based band My Alamo have taken the alternative rock scene by storm with their intelligent, compelling and intriguing sound.

Published

Where are they from? Moseley

Who are they? James Rigby (lead vocal and guitar)

Zach Beckett (guitar and backing vocals)

Dijg Simpson (bass)

Dan Baumanis (drums)

What's their sound? My Alamo take their influences from "anything with soul, balls and a mind of it's own."

What sort of venues do they play? The Little Civic, Birmingham Barfly, Rock City in Nottingham, The Colosseum in Coventry, the Aberdeen Tunnels and Underworld in London.

Anything else? In May, the boys played a free outdoor acoustic set in Birmingham's Victoria Square to support the charity Shelter. They've caught the eyes (and ears) of radio stations such as XFM and Kerrang, and opened the Green Room Stage at this year's Oxygen Festival in Ireland, playing on the same stage as Jet, the Bravery and Queens of the Stone Age. They band also played at the Download Festival at Castle Donnington. Watch our for their new album, due for release in November.
