The investment at the 100,000 sq ft plans now totals £3 million.

The company, which has been going for five years, is currently undergoing a period of significant growth following a record £21m turnover.

Thanks to the investment in the latest equipment, Diamond Box will be able to increase its case making capacities by 50 per cent, ensuring sufficient room to comfortably accommodate peak demand during the Christmas period.

The new machines are also helping to improve lead times for customers and speed up turnover for conventional work.

One of the new additions, a five-colour Bobst high quality printer, will also help the company to break into new markets including the high quality post-print and value added market.

A Latitude case maker has been commissioned and is due to be installed over the summer.

Diamond Box, which already carries the ISO 9001:2008 quality standard and FSC accreditation, is currently in the process of attaining BRC accreditation which will assist the firm when breaking into new markets.

Chief executive Kavi Jundu said: "We've always been highly invested, which has served us and our clients well over the last five years as we've grown from a £7 million start up, to today's £21 million turnover business. The plan is to have an infrastructure in place to realise our next sales target of £30m."

The company specialises in cardboard box manufacture with products ranging from the simplest brown box to complex retail-ready packaging.

It also offers a competitive design service, producing high quality designs to meet their customer requirements, as well as an experienced sSales team which can advise customers on the most economical solutions to meet customer requirements.

Diamond Box also enjoyed success at this year's Black Country Asian Business Association awards, scooping both business of the year and business person of the year.

Mr Jundu, who founded the business in 2007, received that award.
