Wolves flag flying at half-mast as England lose to Uruguay

There was an hint of optimism in the air as England faced Uruguay in Sao Paulo last night after a battling performance in the loss to Italy.

However, it wasn't to be as Liverpool's Luis Suarez struck twice to send England to the brink of exiting the World Cup.

Suarez's well controlled first-half header was guided past Joe Hart to give Uruguay a 1-0 lead.

Despite a strong second-half start from the South American's, England responded through Wayne Rooney who scored his first World Cup goal in his third tournament.

However, England failed to deal with a long ball and Suarez fired his shot past Hart to give Uruguay a chance of qualifying for the next.

It didn't stop England fans enjoying themselves including these two supporters flying their Stourbridge Wolves flag at the Arena Corinthians in Sao Paulo last night.
