What are tags?
What are tags?
Tags are labels or keywords that we add to stories, photos and videos to help describe them and to help you to find similar items on ExpressandStar.com.
You will find a collection of tags at the bottom of many stories on the site. They are there to help you find similar items.
Our editors have set up hundreds of tags which will help you dig deeper into subjects that interest you.
How do tags work?
Say you are reading a story about Wolverhampton Wanderers which has the tags ‘Wolves’, ‘Mick McCarthy’ and ‘Sylvan Ebanks-Blake’. If you click on ‘Mick McCarthy’ you will be taken to a list of other stories in which he is mentioned and which have been tagged accordingly with his name.
What else can I do?

When you click on a tag you are taken to that tag’s archive which has a header like this image above. You can return to a favourite tag archive by saving the URL (internet address) at the top of a page as a bookmark or favourite.
You can also subscribe to an RSS feed to be automatically notified when we add a new story to a tag archive. To subscribe, click on the ‘RSS Feed’ link next to the orange symbol at the top of any tag archive.
