Barrie Blower, right, died aged 78.

It will take place at 1pm on Friday, March 15, at St Matthew's Church in Walsall. All are welcome.

This will be followed by a private cremation for close family and friends, with the wake at the Banks's Stadium.

Mr Blower, who died aged 78, was a lifelong Saddlers fan who founded the Save Walsall Action Group – an organisation that was kept league football in the town in both 1982 and 1986.

He also played a key role in the club's move from Fellows Park to the Bescot Stadium, now the Banks's.

There will be a minute's applause for him before Walsall's home game with Fleetwood Town this weekend.
