Widespread reports in Spain suggest than Chinese billionaire Robin Li will buy Wolves and install Spaniard Julen Lopetegui as boss in place of Jackett.

However, it has been business as usual at Compton Park with Jackett taking training.

And he exclusively told the Express & Star that he had not been in contact with the Wolves board since the rumours surfaced in Spain 24 hours ago.

"I haven't been told anything about those particular situations," he said.

"It's fair to say there have been discussions throughout the summer on the sale of the club.

"But there's nothing in terms of a takeover that I've been told.

"I've seen the rumours. It's not something I can worry about."

In terms of his own position, Jackett said: "When clubs are up for sale there's always the potential for change.

"I certainly hope that's not the case."
