Sylla has long been on Wolves' radar and they were thought to have come close to signing him in January 2015, but snapped up Benik Afobe instead.

The 6ft 2in Guinea international will be allowed to leave the Belgian club if they can find a replacement, reports in Belgium suggest.

At the time Wolves were last linked Sylla was with fellow Belgian side Zulte Waregem, and moved to Anderlecht at the end of that season.

He scored seven times in 34 appearances for Anderlecht last season, although only 10 of those were starts.

The 25-year-old also featured in their Europa League campaign, playing twice against Tottenham Hotspur.

Sunderland, Burnley, Southampton and Swansea City are also said to have been keeping tabs on Sylla, as well as Italian side Atalanta and Turkish club Trabzonspor.

It comes with Wolves believed to be close to signing French youngster Nathaël Julan from Le Havre.

Kenny Jackett has stressed repeatedly in recent months that Wolves need to sign strikers this summer, saying the position has been a 'glaring weakness' in his squad.
