The tall 19-year-old looks set to join from Ligue 2 side Le Havre, with the fee expected to be nominal.

Julan has limited first-team experience, playing three times, but has scored 12 in 22 for Le Harve's second team.

At 6ft 4in he fits the powerful mode of striker Kenny Jackett has called for.

Julan can play anywhere along the front line but it's thought he is more suited to a number nine or 10 role.

If the deal goes through is likely he will go straight into Scott Sellars' under-21 squad, as fellow French youngster Sylvain Deslandes did when he moved from Caen last summer.

Former Wolves man Ludo Pollet - who also played for Le Havre - has been scouting for the club in France for the past year and the recommendation is likely to have come from the popular ex-defender.

Julan tweeted today that the deal hadn't gone through yet, saying: "I not signed anywhere for the moment."
