A huge 88 per cent have delivered a resounding thumbs down to the style of play produced by Wolves this season.

Opinion is split on whether fans want Jackett to still be in charge at the start of next season – 46 per cent say yes, 54 per cent say no.

But 62 per cent believe he should have done better in 2015/16.

Jackett has been steadfast in his belief that things will get better next year with the return of injured players – such as Nouha Dicko, Mike Williamson and Jordan Graham – as well as a few key additions, particularly up front where Wolves so badly struggled for goals after Benik Afobe's departure. There appears to be little margin for error for Jackett though, both from the fans and the boardroom, with Jez Moxey this week stating that the hierarchy will not put up with poor football for long.

Moxey said: "None of us are happy, including Kenny. We all feel the same way. It must change."

Elsewhere in our survey, which was completed by more than 6,000 fans, 71 per cent said they weren't satisfied with Wolves' final league position of 14th.

'Bad management' (25 per cent) was attributed as the main reason Wolves didn't finish in the play-offs, marginally ahead of injuries at 21 per cent and then poor recruitment on 18 per cent.

However, the finger of blame was pointed at wantaway owner Steve Morgan when asked with whom would people apportion the most blame for Wolves' failure this year, at 24 per cent.

Moxey was next on 14 per cent, then Jackett on 13 per cent, while 42 per cent blamed all three, plus the players and Kevin Thelwell.

Wolves have fielded an average team age in the early 20s on many occasions this season and almost two-thirds (63 per cent) said having a young first team was detrimental to gaining promotion.

Conversely, the most one-sided result of the survey was that 91 per cent felt having academy players progress to the first team was important.

A huge 79 per cent said buying strikers should be Wolves' priority in the transfer market this summer, way ahead of midfielders (12 per cent) and defenders (eight per cent).

And the majority of supporters (71 per cent) said Wolves needed to buy between four and six players to improve their squad.

Player of the season for our voters was unsurprisingly Matt Doherty (45 per cent), while Michal Zyro was named as the most successful permanent signing on 50 per cent, way ahead of Jed Wallace and Joe Mason (both 15 per cent).
