The striker scored 25 goals in all competitions this season and it is believed Wolves will bid £1m to prise him from the Easter Road side.

Hibs won the Scottish Cup on Saturday, beating Rangers 3-2 in a thrilling final at Hampden Park.

And after the game Cummings said that playing in Europe was a 'good reason' for him to stay at the club.

That's despite Alan Stubbs' side failing to win promotion to the Scottish Premier League this season.

Cummings, whose contract expires next summer, told The Scotsman: "I'm contracted for next season and as far as I'm aware I'll be back in for pre-season at Hibs, that's all I know.

"We're in Europe now and that's another good reason for me to come back.

"I think I should be coming back."

Scotland Under-21 international Cummings was nominated for the Scottish Young Player of the Year award.

The 20-year-old also scored 21 goals last season and is one of the hottest young properties north of the border, with Rangers also thought to be interested in signing him.

Wolves will be in the market for at least one striker this summer.

Nouha Dicko, Joe Mason and youngster Bright Enobakhare are their only strikers with first team experience.
