Supporters have handed over a petition with over 13,000 signatures opposing the club's shirt deal the with pay day loan firm.

Chairman Jez Moxey, as well as Matt Grayson and Laurie Dalrymple, met with Tom Byrne, who launched the petition.

Then came the unveiling of the strip the host will wear at Molineux come the 2016-07 season, with the return of 'pinstripes.'

They were a regular feature on Wolves kits in the 1980s, when they were sponsored by Tatung, and now features a yellow bar underneath the Money Shop's name.

The shirt was unveiled on social media yesterday via the club's "pass the parcel" initiative and includes pinstripes down the front and on the socks, with black trim on the shoulders.

Comments on our website included: "Kinda looks a bit like the hull city strip so not too impressed other than that shorts and socks look identical to last seasons.

"I want to purchase one, but will wait to see if they board spend this summer? if not i wont part with my money either and stay away from the mol." Wolfo

Leon added: "The sad thing is the Hull City shirt will look more like our than this. I had to have a double take as I thought I was on the local Hull newspaper website.

"There are a few no no's they never take note of. 1) never use a cheap shirt manufacturer. Use companies like Umbro, Adidas, Nike etc as fans do not want cheap imitations.

"2) Choose a sponsor that will enhance the club profile, not one that will bring negative attention. 3) Keep to the club colours.

"4) Do not change the shirt by adding stripes, tire marks, squares or anything, especially when a shirt has been plain for most of its history.

"5) Do not try to follow the fashion of clothes too much. A football shirt is a sports shirt. It should not have strings or the latest fashion neck cut. Round or v neck is best.

"I am no fashion designer but, if our club took note of these basic rules, there would not be too many complaints."

Tommo Hawk said: "Finally a Tatung inspired shirt! Wish the pinstripes didn't stop to fit a sponsor but, other than that, it'll do nicely."

Woody said: "The first Wolves shirt I've liked since the Le Coq Sportif days but, sadly, completely and utterly ruined by the sponsor."

Striped Pyjama Throstle said: "Ignoring the fact the logo is that of 'Money Shop', I have a query.

"As the club have said your younger supporters' shirts won't feature the logo, doesn't this mean there will be a blank pinstripe-less square there?

"If your leadership had anything about them, they'd offer this empty space to a local charity or community initiative free of charge.

"It would certainly look like an attempt to undo the damage your main sponsorship deal has caused."

Comments on our Wolves Facebook page included: "Horrific shirt with a shocking choice of sponsor.

"Once again, Wolverhampton Wanderers have failed to listen to the people that mattter the most, the supporters." Martin Logue.

Owen Daley added: "I quite like the shirt but they need to get rid of that yellow line. That just ruins it.

"There could be worse sponsors, but I must admit I'd have liked to have seen the club try to build bridges after all what's gone on this season.

"We could have had a non sponsored shirt with each home game featuring a different logo of a local charity on the shirt.

"Fans could then also choose to pay to have that local charity's logo iron pressed on their shirt to raise money for the charity."

Lewy Heath said: "I think it's actually a really nice design! It's different to what we had before! Which is good!

"The Money Shop - l I don't really care about the sponsor! Seems like fans love to moan about everything! Just get behind the team!"

Justin Norris said: "I like it. People need to stop moaning and, let's be honest, most of the moaners will end up buying it."

Lee Whitworth said: "I love the shirt, probably a small minority but I really like it."

Marina Fieldhouse Skitt said: "I would not walk around with that vile Money Shop logo anyway."
