The defender posted pictures of both the home and away kits on Snapchat two weeks ago.

But boss Kenny Jackett insisted that wasn't the reason Hause has been dropped from the first XI.

The 20-year-old has been on the bench for Wolves' last two matches, the first coming 48 hours after the images came to light.

Jackett said of the incident, for which it's believed Hause has been slapped with a fine: "We've dealt with it internally and he's been punished accordingly.

"He's apologised and realised he made a mistake.

"I think he tried to close (the pictures) off to certain people, or just his friends, and for a short period he opened it up to everybody.

"He realised it hasn't helped the club at all.

"It's just one of those things, that for whatever reason went through his mind at the time, or a mistake he's made.

"It's an unfortunate incident. He can put it behind him and learn from it."

And of Hause being out the team, Jackett added: "It wasn't related. That was just me wanting to have a look at Dominic Iorfa and Danny Batth (at centre-half) long term, see where they were as a pair.

"And also to give Sylvain Deslandes a chance, and a taste, and to see exactly where he was."

In the leaked pictures, Wolves' new away kit is lime green, while the home shirt is thought to have a black pinstripe effect.

They will be the first shirts to adorn Wolves' new sponsor, The Money Shop.

Meanwhile, Jackett has stated he wants injured defender Mike Williamson to be a 'leader' for the club next season.

Jackett said: "We want him to be a leader for us if possible.

"It's a big frustration that he hasn't played. We've needed experience to pull us together and make the right decisions.

"And he showed in his loan spell what a good player he is.

"For him and us there's a determination for him to contribute.

"The plan is to have him with us at the start of pre-season."
