Aston Villa cut the price of season tickets

Aston Villa are cutting the price of season tickets as they prepare for life outside of the Premier League.

The club announced that prices would be cut in all areas of the stadium after being relegated to the Championship.

The cheapest adult tickets will cost £325 with the most expensive priced at £595. It is a reduction of between £10 and £20 on the current season. Children's season tickets will start at £85.

In a message to fans, the club said: "Your support will be invaluable as we look for a swift return to the Premier League.

Your support has been outstanding as always this term and we want you to be with us for next season's journey.

"We aim for promotion back to the top-flight, with derby games against the likes of Blues and Wolves on the horizon."

Anyone who buys their season ticket - or renews it - by May 31 will have the price fixed on their seat for the following 2017-18 season.
