Wolves could lose on-loan Sheffield Wednesday winger Jeremy Helan to his parent club as they look to help ease their sudden left-back shortage.

A knee injury to Joe Bennett, himself borrowed by the Owls from Aston Villa, means Daniel Pudil is the only recognised player fit for that position.

Helan moved to Molineux at the end of February for the rest of the season and has made eight appearances, featuring as a substitute at Leeds last night.

Wednesday have a 24-hour recall clause, activated after the first 28 days of the deal, with Hillsborough coach Lee Bullen admitting he could be recalled.

Bullen said sources in Sheffield: "It maybe that we need to bring Jeremy back to give us that left-back cover.

"I think that would be the wise thing to do, once we get definite confirmation about Joe."
