The 21-year-old Welshman has been in impressive form for Bradford City since joining the League One side on loan last August.

Evans, a £200,000 signing from Newport County in January 2013, has made 32 appearances for Phil Parkinson's promotion chasers, but will return to Wolves in the summer with one-year left of his contract.

And Jackett believes he will come back to the club ready to make a major impression on the first-team, after previously playing 44 times in Wolves' colours.

The head coach said: "I have got a lot of time for Lee and I have watched him myself in some big games in League One.

"He is at a big club in Bradford who are just about in the play-offs now and are competing for promotion to the Championship.

"In their last home game they played in front of 18,000 supporters, although Lee wasn't there – he was away playing with the Welsh under-21 squad.

"I think it has been a very good season for him at Bradford.

"I think he has improved and next year I think he is good enough to come back and play in the Championship and play for Wolves."

Jackett's side resume their Championship season when they host Mick McCarthy's Ipswich on Saturday.

Wolves haven't played for almost a fortnight due to the recent international, but Jackett thinks the break has been a good opportunity to take in other games.

He added: "There has been a lot of football with teams in League One and League Two playing, as well as the internationals.

"I have been to watch several games and with the amount of games that are on TV now – with the access that scouting technology gives you all round the world – I have had the chance to see several games.

"It has been a good opportunity."
