Kenny Jackett set to give untried Wolves pups a chance
Wolves boss Kenny Jackett will give some untried youngsters a chance in the first team - if and when it becomes mathematically impossible for them to reach the play-offs or be relegated.
What is already a very young starting line-up could get even younger with Jackett keen to give youth a chance.
The likes of Connor Hunte and Bright Enobakhare have been on the fringes of late, while midfielder Connor Ronan has been praised by Jackett and assistant boss Joe Gallen after being named Ireland's under-17 player of the year.
And defenders Hakeem Odofin, Aaron Hayden and Ryan Leak have been training with the first team during the international break.
Will Randall, Daniel Armstrong and Aaron Collins will also be hoping for a first team bow after being signed from Swindon, Hamilton Academical and Newport earlier this season.
Jackett said: "I think there will be opportunities for them, even just looking at our squad planning, there'll be opportunities for one or two.
"There are quite a lot of bright prospects there that we hope continue to come through.
"And then there are one or two floating around the edge of the first team group.
"If that's accelerated by the end then there are players I would like to look at and people that I'll be very interested to see how they can cope with the Championship before the end of the year."
Wolves, who host Ipswich on Saturday, also have one or two close to returning from injury.
Jackett added: "We're hopeful of having James Henry near by the time we play Ipswich.
"Mike Williamson as well. And David Edwards isn't too far behind.
"We don't want the season to fall away, we want to show a good hunger about us.
"The only thing that matters is how the club goes forward.
"We feel we're not far away and we have some developing players that are close now, and ready and hungry enough."
