Jack Price's man of the match performance at Burnley has earned glowing praise from his head coach and captain.

Kenny Jackett and Danny Batth were both full of compliments for the 'big-hearted' 23-year-old, who was the standout player as Wolves claimed a last-gasp point at Turf Moor.

It was only Price's third start of the calendar year but he was a thorn in Burnley's side with a majestic midfield masterclass, which was almost capped with a goal when a 30-yard strike hit the post.

And skipper Batth said: "His attitude and his work rate's been phenomenal since he's been playing and whenever he's selected he wears his heart on his sleeve.

"He might not be the biggest, but he's certainly got one of the biggest hearts and he's excellent.

"He's a great lad round the place and I can't speak highly enough of him."

Jackett thought the Salopian had his best ever game in a Wolves shirt, in what was Price's 77th appearance for the club since being given his debut by Jackett in August 2013.

The Wolves boss said: "He was key for us and also came forward and hit the post with a shot.

"That is something he can do more of because he is certainly capable of it.

"He had a very good game, probably one of his best - or if not his best - game in his Wolves shirt."
