WATCH: Rajiv van La Parra's Huddersfield move completed

Wolves winger Rajiv van La Parra has moved to Huddersfield on loan - and will complete a permanent deal in the summer.

The Dutchman has penned a three-year contract with the Terriers, with the transfer fee believed to be £750,000.

Kenny Jackett said: "We feel this is the best move for all parties in terms of both clubs and also Rajiv himself.

"We thank Rajiv for his efforts during his time with Wolves and wish him all the best for the future."

Huddersfield had courted Van La Parra in the January transfer window, but with the 24-year-old then a key member of the Wolves team they decided against selling.

However after angering fans with a comment about his wages on social media, Van La Parra was booed by Wolves supporters away at Brentford and hasn't featured in a matchday squad since.

He moved to Wolves on a free transfer from Heerenveen at the start of last season and scored two goals in 57 appearances for the club.

Huddersfield head coach David Wagner said: "I am really happy that we have been able to bring Rajiv to Huddersfield.

"He is one of the players that we targeted in the winter window, but we have had to be patient to get him here.

"He is a player we know well both as a player and a person, especially as Stuart Webber (Huddersfield's recruitment boss and formerly of Wolves) was involved in bringing him to England in his time at Wolves.

"We saw some of what he can do when we played Wolves last month. On one side he has good experience of the Championship, but on the other side he is a good age and has the chance to develop.

"It's good that we get to work with him on the pitch for the final six weeks of the season and don't have to wait until the summer.

"There is no pressure on him and he will get all the time he needs to get used to our idea, but when he does I believe we can help him realise the potential we all know he has. "
