The Wolves boss has seen his side come under fire after overseeing a run of six win-less games – three defeats and three draws.

Fans turned on the the team after the final whistle of the defeat at Huddersfield at the weekend.

Ahead of tonight's game at Brentford, his team are 13 points off the play-offs and their season looks all-but over despite there being 14 games remaining.

However, Jackett wants to finish the job he has started at Wolves, saying: "I'm very confident in my own ability.

"I feel I can turn things around, definitely. The overall managerial position, it is what it is – I understand that and know the risks of it.

"I'm confident in my own ability, and in my own ability to turn the club positive again. Let's continue the upward curve that we started."

Wolves have lost their last two matches – and supporters have been left livid at the end of both.

There were loud anti-Jez Moxey and Steve Morgan chants during the 2-1 defeat at home to Preston while, at the end of Saturday's 1-0 loss at Huddersfield, supporters swore at the players.

Has Jackett been given a 'vote of confidence' from the board? He continued: "No I haven't.

"It's been very much business as usual, talking about the team, talking about plans, short term, long term.

"It's for other people to speculate (on my future). The only thing I can do about it is focus on the next game, try very hard to win that.

"Once you win a game or two you can then build up a run that helps you in the long term. "All of my attention and focus goes on that.

"Do I follow how it is for a head coach or a manager? Of course I do. "You need to get results, you need to win games, you do need to get results, without a doubt."
