Rajiv van La Parra hopes to end his Wolves scoring drought tomorrow – and believes plenty more will follow if he does.

The Dutchman last netted in a Wolves shirt in March last year.

He scored twice for Brighton in a recent loan spell, and has come close to picking up that form with Wolves, hitting the post against Fulham last Tuesday.

He then saw his shot palmed towards Michal Zyro for Wolves' only goal against Cardiff on Saturday.

"I hope to score goals now for the team and win games for them," he said. "It was unlucky (when hitting the post) and I think if you play games and you're not scoring goals you have to keep calm and not think too much about the chances you miss, because everyone misses chances.

"If I score on Saturday I think it will come back and I can score goals for fun."

Van La Parra has played up front in Wolves' past two matches after surprisingly returning to the team following that Brighton loan.

It's been a topsy-turvy season for the 24-year-old who began the season out of favour and has been used sparingly, while almost joining Leeds on a permanent deal and Bolton on loan.

On playing up front, he said: ""I played it last season as well and had a few games there.

"I'm quite used to it now and I think I did OK; the gaffer was happy with my performance and that's important for me.

"The gaffer likes a player with pace up front and I'm happy I can be that player.

"We had a good run, it's bad we lost against Cardiff but I think we played well and we were unlucky not to score goals.

"I think we have to stay positive and hopefully get a result at QPR.

"I think we're not far from getting into the play-offs.

"Everyone in the team still believes we can do it."
