Reports in France say Wolves have lodged a bid for the 27-year-old Rennes left-back, who is out of contract this summer.
Wolves are also believed to be in the running to sign Icelandic striker Vidar Kjartansson on loan.
The 25-year-old netted 25 goals in 29 games for Valernga in the Norwegian top flight in 2014 before a £2.25m move to Chinese club Jiangsu.
Another target, Bolton striker Zach Clough, is reported to be on the verge of a £3m move to Bristol City.
