The 20-year-old has been a revelation since coming into the team just last month.

In eight appearances he has provided six assists – and scored his first goal in Wolves colours during Monday's 2-0 victory over Charlton Athletic.

His existing deal technically runs out this summer, although Wolves have the option of automatically extending it by a year.

However, bosses hope to ward off circling Premier League vultures by tying Graham to a longer-term deal, with talks ongoing.

Kenny Jackett said of the youngster: "Jordan has 18 months left but, as we did with Dominic Iorfa, if young players come in and do well then we don't wait.

"Young players that are successful will be rewarded and Jordan comes into that category."

Graham, who moved from West Midlands rivals Villa last January, looks to have finally solved Wolves' problem left-wing slot.

Seven players have been tried in Bakary Sako's old position this season, before Graham made his debut at Ipswich last month.

He told the Express & Star that he was loving life in the Wolves first team – and that hard work was behind his prolific assists record.

He said: "I'm really enjoying it. Quite a lot of it is down to my crossing and set-pieces which I do work hard on every day on the training pitch. It's nice to know that your hard work pays off.

"I love football, ever since I was a kid I love playing every day, I never get bored of it, I'm just embracing playing every game. I'll keep working on my set-pieces, my deliveries, my goals.

"The support for me has been amazing since I made my debut, the fans have taken to me. Hopefully I can push on."

That first Wolves goal felt a long time coming, with Graham going close on several occasions in previous matches. So what of his celebration?

He said: "I can't even remember it! I was buzzing, especially in front of the fans, they've been really good to me.

"I don't want to get above my station, just keeping working hard and stay in the team, I don't want to get complacent or arrogant."
