Shipped out Wolves duo starring on loan
Combined they featured 62 times for Wolves last season.
But, having fallen out of favour and then sent out on loan, neither Lee Evans nor Rajiv van La Parra is in a rush to return to Molineux.
The pair are on loan at Bradford City and Brighton respectively, with both contributing goals and assists to their team's promotion campaigns.
Evans is due back at Wolves on January 10 but Bantams boss Phil Parkinson has already spoken to opposite number Kenny Jackett about extending the deal.
And the Welsh under-21 midfielder is keen to do just that, saying: "I've been in talks with Wolves as well to see if it's definitely going to happen.
"It's looking like it's going in the right direction and I'm very happy here. I see Bradford as being my club. I don't think I'm an outsider looking in.
"I'm settled in my private life in a nice house up here and that reflects on the pitch."It will be hard if I don't stay here in January. It will be disappointing for me.
"But, hopefully, we can get something sorted and I keep playing here because that's the main thing."
Evans has been a regular, playing 17 times in central midfield. He added:"I just wanted to play somewhere and when the manager rang, it was perfect for me.
"The year hit a brick wall for me early on. I was out of the plans at Wolves for a while and it was very frustrating. I tried to go out on loan in the January window.
"But I'm really enjoying it at Bradford. It's good to get the chance to play regularly and it's down to me to play well."
Dutch winger Van La Parra has come off the bench twice for Chris Hughton's table-topping Brighton.
He set up the winner against Charlton and scored against Derby County on Saturday, before adding one against Queens Park Rangers on his first start for the Seagulls last night.
An injury to Lewis Solly means he may now get his chance to put a run of games together, before his deal expires on January 2.
Van La Parra said: "I had a tough time at Wolves and it's good for me to play well now, score goals, get assists and get my confidence back on the pitch.
"At Wolves I lost my confidence as well, because I was not playing and not part of the team. Now I'm here I try to do the best for the team and for myself as well.
"For me it's important to play games and to get better. I think I'll get my game time here, that's the most important thing now."
