A succession of chances were spurned at Molineux as Wolves drew their third game in a row.

It's one win in eight for Kenny Jackett's team, who are stuck in 15th place in the table.

It was another promising performance, as was the case against Ipswich and Burnley in their previous two matches.

And Jackett, who felt his players lacked belief as the game went on, said the only thing he could criticise his team for was their finishing.

"Ultimately it's two points dropped," he said.

"Poor finishing today is the only thing I can criticise the side for – there was no lack of effort or application and there was wave after wave (of attacks).

"Finishing is the most important part of the game and it is the hardest thing to get right – it is the part that makes the difference and despite creating a lot of chances and a lot of balls in and around their box we couldn't put that ball away.

"It wouldn't fall for us at the end when he had Le Fondre and Henry in and around that near post area and the ball stuck between the goalkeeper's legs."

One of Jackett's decisions during the game, to replace home debutant Jordan Graham with Sheyi Ojo, was roundly booed by the home supporters.

The Wolves boss defended the change but admitted that after his two substitutions Wolves lost momentum.

"While I appreciate Jordan was doing very well I felt a natural left-footer could help us," he said.

"We did lose, after that, some momentum. Early in the game, probably the first hour, was when we had the most chances.

"As it went on we looked like we lacked a bit of belief that it would happen.

"In terms of the players they couldn't give any more. They have to keep going along the same lines and make sure we get the results that will see us climb the table.

"In the performances we're not far away.

"We are closer to the bottom than we are to the top and everyone then quite rightly starts looking over their shoulders.

"We have to come through that period and make sure we are good enough to address the bits that we are missing, retain our self belief, and start to climb the table."
