Ethan Ebanks-Landell made his comeback from a broken foot, playing the first half, while Bjorn Sigurdarson came on as a substitute for the last 15 minutes.

Conor Coady, Grant Holt, Jed Wallace and Matt Doherty also featured for Wolves.

A strong Liverpool side was littered with internationals including Philippe Coutinho, Roberto Firmino, Lucas Leiva and Kolo Toure.

Curiously, Wolves loanee Sheyi Ojo lined up against Kenny Jackett's team, with Klopp using the match to have a look at some of his loan stars.

Coutinho opened the scoring eight minutes in at Liverpool's Melwood training complex, with Firmino putting the Reds 2-0 up by half time.

After the break Le Fondre's double salvo made it 2-2, before Coutinho grabbed the winner.

Le Fondre has been on the bench for Wolves' last three games, coming on at half time against Bristol City.

The game came too soon for defender Kortney Hause, who is due to return to full training next week.
