The 22-year-old will see a specialist on Monday to see if he requires surgery, after scans picked up a stress fracture in his left foot.
If so, Wolves medics estimate the centre-back will take between "12 and 15 weeks" to recover.
Even without surgery, Ebanks-Landell faces at least a month on sidelines, leaving boss Kenny Jackett worryingly short of cover at the back.
