A confidence-boosting win went a little way to erasing memories of the banal defeat at Cardiff on Saturday.

And, just as importantly, several young starlets staked claims for first-team berths on a night where there were far more positives than negatives.

It was by no means a perfect performance - Wolves again faded late on and carelessly allowed Barnet back into the game.
